Korean cosmetic brand Missha has opened stores in Spain for the first time, with 3 new stores in Barcelona, Madrid and Sevilla.
Spain is the second country in Europe that the snail cream brand have opened stores in, after opening it’s first in Ingolstade, Germany, back in February of this year.
Spain is currently the fifth largest market for cosmetics in Europe, estimated to be worth 6.4 billion EUR, according to the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).
Demand for Korean snail creams and other cosmetics has been rapidly growing in Spain, with imports totaling 2.61 million EUR last year, up from 250,000 EUR the year before.
Lee Kwang-sup, Missha’s international trade manager, said “Missha made a successful debut in Germany and will repeat that success in Spain.
“We will attract Spanish customers with high-quality products that are available at reasonable prices.”
The brand, a popular snail cream manufacturer, plan to continue with their push into the European market, with new stores planned for Berlin and Munich later this year.
Missha currently operate 2,100 outlets in 30 countries worldwide, including China, Japan, Oman, Russia, UAE and Venezuela.
